Rick Bailey
Rick Bailey is a proud member of the q̓ic̓əy̓/Katzie First Nation currently serving his community in his 4th term as an elected member of council. His council portfolio includes Aboriginal rights and title, fish and wildlife, justice and treaty. Rick was practically born on his father’s fishing boat and has been a fisher and hunter for as long as he can remember. He has many years of experience working on fishing boats in varying roles including operating a commercial gillnetter, and operating as a deckhand and crew/cook on various vessels. He started food fishing with his grandfather at about 7 years old and today Rick still has an area E salmon gillnet boat and license.
